Today the NBL has released fixtures for rounds 14 and 15, which will also be the NBL’s Indigenous Rounds.
The NBL advised “the Indigenous round will celebrate, recognise and acknowledge indigenous culture across Australia and New Zealand.
“More details on the Indigenous Round, including Indigenous jerseys, Indigenous basketball, league and club indigenous initiatives, the indigenous player rule and more will be announced in the coming weeks.”
JackJumpers schedule
For the JackJumpers the schedule will include their first home game at the Silverdome in Launceston on Saturday 5 March against the New Zealand Breakers. It is the first of two games set for Launceston this season, with the second yet to be confirmed by the NBL.
The Silverdome will be a familiar court for the Breakers, who were based in Launceston in April in May of 2021. The were based there as they were unable to play out of New Zealand due to the country’s COVID restrictions with international travel. The Breakers played 6 “home” games at the Silverdome for a 3-3 win/loss record.
Following the Launceston match the JackJumpers will head to Cairns for a match against the Taipans. They will be hoping for a very different performence to the one in round 2 where they were beaten 69 to 62 in round 3, in one of their worst offensive performances of the season.
Then finally in round 15, the JackJumpers will play the Illawarra Hawks in a home clash at MyState Bank Arena on 13 March
