The Tasmania JackJumpers have doubled up on their games in the north of the state with the NBL announcing the JackJumpers will play the Illawarra Hawks on Saturday 19 March at the Launceston Silverdome.
It will be the second game for Launceston in the space of two weeks, as Tasmania is set to play the New Zealand Breakers this Saturday.

The two matches in Launceston are part of the JackJumpers concept of being a statewide entity, with home games being played in the north and south of the state.
Launceston was allocated two JackJumpers home games as part of Tasmania’s inaugural season, with the remaining 12 being played in Hobart.
We have already seen huge support for the JackJumpers in Hobart, with MyState Bank Arena consistently selling out. If the Launceston can sell out games as well, it could go a long way to seeing more games played in the north of the state in future seasons.
Illawarra back in Tassie
This will be the third and likely final clash for NBL 22 for the JackJumpers and Illawarra, with the two teams doing battle in Hobart the week prior on Sunday 13 March in Hobart.
The only clash between the two sides so far was in February, which saw Tasmania inflict a rare home loss on the Hawks in Wollongong. In that match the JackJumpers hit 22 three point field goals, a record for the league this season.
The Hawks are no strangers to Tasmania this season, they already having visited the state twice to play the New Zealand Breakers in Hobart. Those matches were home games for the Breakers, as they continue to play their season away from home due to New Zealand’s COVID restrictions on international travel.
Tickets for all JackJumpers games are available through ticketek.
