Basketball fans in Northern Tasmania will get the first look at the 2022-23 Tasmania JackJumpers in action, with the team announcing two preseason games to be held in Launceston and Ulverstone in early September.
The games will be against the South East Melbourne Phoenix and are part of a week long preseason camp the JackJumpers are undertaking in the north of the state.
“Being on the road for the preseason really helps the group bond but it is also a really important opportunity to connect with our fan base and inspire people of all ages,” Head Coach Scott Roth said.
The games will be held at at Ulverstone Sports and Leisure Centre on Tuesday 6 September and then at Elphin Sports Centre in Launceston on Thursday 8 September.
This will be the first opportunity for fans to see new imports Rashard Kelly and Milton Doyle in action. While also see Isaac White, who has signed as an injury replacement for Clint Steindl.
Following the camp, the JackJumpers will then head to Darwin to take part in the NBL Blitz tournament. During the week long tournament the Jackjumpers will take on the Sydney Kings, Adelaide 36ers and Cairns Taipans.
The JackJmpers will officially open their 2022-23 season on the road against the Phoenix in Melbourne on Saturday 1 October. They follow up with their home opener at MyState Bank Arena two days later against the Cairns Taipans on Monday 3 October.
